Description:
For this option, you’ll send me your own authentic L.L.Bean Boat & Tote to be transformed into a one-of-a-kind Birk & Tote. Each bag is carefully deconstructed, cleaned, and rebuilt with high-quality hardware and hand-finished details, giving it a fresh new life while preserving its classic character.
Your bag must be at least a size Large (22" across the opening). Smaller sizes cannot be used for this process. You are responsible for shipping the bag to me, and I cannot begin work until I have received it.
Because you are providing the tote, this option is offered at $725 (discounted from $825). Please note there may be up to a $50 additional charge depending on the condition of your bag (for embroidery removal or heavy cleaning). To avoid surprises, you are welcome to send photos of the bag beforehand so we can confirm if this fee will apply.

(Sizes may vary slightly depending on the original bag and usable fabric.)
Processing Time:
Production takes approximately 14 business days from the date I receive your bag. Shipping time is additional.
Hardware Finish:
All hardware is finished in gold for a consistent, signature look.
Care Instructions:
Spot clean only using mild soap such as Dawn and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid machine washing to preserve hardware and fabric integrity.
Returns:
Due to the made-to-order and vintage nature of these bags, all sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges.
Condition Note:
Because these totes are pre-loved, they may arrive with light wear such as:
Slight fading or variation in color
Small spots or marks
Softened fabric from use
